# Products

> List products and update a product's name, domain, description, and product names (aliases) from the TPC CLI.

# Products

Product commands are org-scoped. Pass `--scope <org-slug>` and a product slug argument, or `--scope <org-slug>/<product-slug>`.

```

Text output lists each product with its slug and its product names. Pass `--format json` to get the product objects, which include them as `keywords`.

## Update a product

tpc product update my-product --scope pro-org --description "Cloud hosting for AI agents"
tpc product update my-product --scope pro-org --name "Acme Cloud Platform" --domain acme.com
```

The CLI fetches the product first and changes only the fields you pass. Fields you leave out keep their stored values. You must pass at least one flag.

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--name` | New product name. |
| `--domain` | New website domain. The scheme and path are removed, so `https://acme.com/pricing` is stored as `acme.com`. |
| `--description`, `-d` | New description. `--description ""` clears it. |
| `--alias` | Adds a product name (alias). Repeat it to add several. |
| `--remove-alias` | Removes a product name. Repeat it to remove several. |
| `--aliases` | Replaces all product names with a comma-separated list. `--aliases ""` clears them. |

## Product names (aliases)

Product names are the **Product name(s)** list in product settings. Share of voice counts an AI answer as mentioning your product when it contains any of these names. If the product is often written in other ways, such as an abbreviation or a different spelling, add those as aliases.

# Remove one
tpc product update my-product --scope pro-org --remove-alias "Acme Inc"

# Replace the whole list
tpc product update my-product --scope pro-org --aliases "Acme Cloud,Acme AI Cloud,acmecloud"
```

When you combine these flags, `--aliases` replaces the list first. Then `--alias` adds names and `--remove-alias` removes them. Matching ignores case, and duplicates are dropped. The first spelling is kept.
