https://app.promptingco.com/api/auth. Each tool calls the TPC API with your access token, so the agent can only reach organizations you are a member of.
This server is separate from the one in the MCP server guide, which uses
https://app.promptingco.com/api/mcp and has a different set of tools. The pages in this tab cover https://mcp.promptingco.com/mcp.Tools
Every tool needs your organization slug. Tools that work on one product also need its slug or ID. The agent looks it up with
list-products.

claude mcp add adds the server to the current project only. To use it in every project, add --scope user to that command.
Claude.ai and Claude Desktop

TPC, and the URLhttps://mcp.promptingco.com/mcp. - Connect, then sign in to The Prompting Company in the browser and approve access.
Other MCP clients
Clients that support remote MCP servers with OAuth use the same URL. Addhttps://mcp.promptingco.com/mcp as a remote HTTP server. The client registers itself and opens your browser to sign in, so you do not need a client ID or secret.
Find your organization slug
Every tool needs anorganizationSlug argument, and the server has no tool that lists organizations. You have to give the agent your slug.
Your organization slug is the first part of the path when you open your organization at app.promptingco.com. Product pages follow the pattern https://app.promptingco.com/<org-slug>/p/<product-slug>. For example, in https://app.promptingco.com/acme/p/acme-cloud, the organization slug is acme and the product slug is acme-cloud.
Put the slug in your message so the agent does not have to ask:
tpc org list prints each organization as Name (slug). See Organizations.
If a tool returns organization not found, check the slug. TPC returns that error for a slug that does not exist and for an organization you are not a member of.
